CM Collaborative, a family-owned commercial contractor based in Westerville, Ohio, was founded in 2012 with a simple goal: to build great spaces and even better relationships. What started as a leap of faith between Allen and Julie Godfrey has grown into a trusted, family-run team dedicated to quality, integrity, and follow-through. Today, with the next generation stepping in and experienced team members to guide the way, we carry forward a tradition of hard work, honesty, and treating every project like it’s our own.

Julie Godfrey
Owner, Estimator, Project Manager
Julie is the visionary behind CM Collaborative. She sets the plan, builds relationships, and ensures every client starts with a clear path forward. With years of industry experience and a deep commitment to doing things right, she brings clarity, strategy, and heart to every project. Julie’s leadership is grounded in trust, communication, and a drive to create spaces that truly serve the people who use them.
Allen Godfrey
Owner & Director of Construction
Allen oversees the on-site execution of every project. With a sharp eye for detail he makes sure things run smoothly, stay on schedule, and meet CM Collaborative’s high standards, even if it occasionally means giving Julie a headache or two along the way. His hands-on leadership and problem-solving mindset are key to turning plans into finished spaces.
Melissa Charlton
Director of Operations
Melissa Charlton brings extensive experience in financial management, operations, and project leadership to CM Collaborative, ensuring every project runs smoothly and efficiently. With a background ranging from early childhood education to corporate finance, she combines fiscal discipline with hands-on operational expertise. Melissa’s strategic insight and clear communication make her a trusted partner for both the team and clients.
Reno Godfrey
Assistant Project Manager & Estimator
Reno Godfrey started his career studying Construction Systems Management at The Ohio State University before gaining hands-on experience with a national general contractor. Beginning as an intern, he advanced into project coordination and later into an assistant estimating role, where he managed bid preparation, cost analysis, and preconstruction planning while also helping secure new clients through the estimating process.
In 2025, Reno joined his family’s business, CM Collaborative, where he combines the structure and high standards learned in a national firm with the personal investment of a family-owned company.
As the next generation of leadership, he is committed to driving growth, strengthening client relationships, and delivering projects that reflect CM Collaborative’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship.
