Description
CM Collaborative successfully completed the conversion of a 633-square-foot space for QualDerm from a medical office into a fully functional medical laboratory. The project presented unique challenges due to the storage and use of hazardous, toxic, and flammable materials. To ensure compliance and safety, our team coordinated multiple meetings with both the building and fire departments, navigating contradicting responses to the initial project submittal. Through detailed presentations and technical clarifications, we facilitated agreement between the agencies and secured permit approval.
Specialized systems were designed and installed to meet laboratory safety standards, including an explosion-proof exhaust fan, specialized ventilation, a fume hood, and an eyewash station. The result is a highly functional, compliant, and safe laboratory environment tailored to the specific needs of dermatology research and testing.
